Constant Change - Evolving

Since its formation in 2002, Constant Change has been entertaining bluegrass fans with its uniquely fresh, traditional sound. The band's sixth release, "Evolving," is a showcase for their exceptional musicianship, and introduces the band's new sound.

The diverse collection of songs includes: a classic lost love story with Dixie and Tom T. Hall's song A Rose For Marie, (which was written as a tribute to Marie Hartford, wife of John Hartford), hard-driving tunes from bluegrass legends A.L. Wood and the Osborne brothers, an original from prolific song writer and member of the band Greg Luck, a classic Louvin Brothers duet, a soulful country-flavored ballad from the pen of Bill Castle, and an intriguing story line about a father's love of his son and his farm with an original from Terry Greene, Cold Prison Hell.

The members of Constant Change grew up immersed in the fertile North Carolina bluegrass scene, learning from the masters. They have been together for a relatively short time, yet their musical maturity is beyond their years. The fact that most members of Constant Change are proficient as either lead or harmony singers allows for great variety in their music and stage show. Though their roots are firmly planted in tradition, the band's youthful energy and eclectic taste has gained them fans of all ages and backgrounds. The group quickly graduated from local gigs to touring up and down the East coast. Now, with the release of "Evolving," Constant Change is poised to burst upon the national scene as one of the hottest "new-traditional" bands around.
