We
are sad to announce that we have lost, not only a driving force
of the band, but a true brother and friend, with the passing of
Steve Allen. Steve was a big part of the heart the soul
of Bobby-O and the Mojos and his loss will be felt by many in
the years to come. Steve was passionate about playing music and
joined many other bands whenever the opportunity arose. Most every
weekend Steve play a gig with one band, and travel to play another
gig with a different band the same night. That was Steve's life
.. to play music and enjoy time with his family and his freinds
as much as he could.
With sought out musicians with the musical talent as Steve, there
is usually a big ego or cockiness that typically comes with that
persona, but in Steve's case, to him, it was always about the
music and filling in the spot to make whatever band or group of
musicians he was playing with, to sound as good as he could possibly
make it. H he was always there when called upon, and whether it
be playing lead guitar, singing vocals, and/or filling in on bass
guitar .. whatever need was required, Steve was there always willing
to oblidge the 'call to duty' and always with a big smile on his
face.
We
send out our love, condolences, and prayers to Steve's wife Rita,
and his family and close friends. There is a memorial 'Celebration
of Life' event in the works for sometime after the first of the
year, and will be annouced as soon as the details are made.
Please
keep Steve's family in your prayers during this sad time.
Merry
Christmas - Bobby Osborne
