Robert is back from his March/April tour in Ukraine and Cathy
and Robert will be collaborating again.
Robert
Lighthouse was nominated
for a Grammy for his 2022 album. He has a new CD coming out soon
with new songs about his recent tour in Ukraine.
On WikiPedia, he is described as : Robert Lighthouse, a
native of Sweden, first came to the United States at the age of
18, determined to learn more about the music he loves - Mississippi
Delta Blues. For eight years he traveled around the country visiting
blues Meccas like Chicago's famed Maxwell Street and New Orleans,
the cradle of the blues.

in Washington, D.C. to our a war zone to play clubs in Ukraine
-- so close to the battle he could hear Russian shelling?
And why would he risk his own life for more than two weeks, in
nine different Ukrainian cities, playing for a population facing
basic questions of survival?
Thats one of the explorations we undertake with Robert Lighthouse,
a guitar, harmonica, percussion-playing bluesman.
Hes been called supremely talented by Blues
& Rhythm Magazine.
Cathy
Ponton King has been a stalwart of the DC Music
Scene since the 1980's. She's recorded 4 CDs of original music
in the blues vein and many other styles such as sweet ballads,
zydeco, and rock and roll and covers of her husband Jeff King's
original music as well.
Her music receives airplay all over the world on streaming platforms
and radio stations. She has opened for many of the blues greats
and sat in singing on stage with many greats including Albert
King, Albert Collins, and she has opened for Willie Dixon, KoKo
Taylor, Earl King, Johnny Winter, Sonny Landreth, Paul Butterfield
, Danny Gatton Band, Arlen Roth, The Legendary Blues Band with
Pinetop Perkins and Jerry Portnoy on harp, The Fabulous Thunderbirds,
Marcia Ball, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Hubert Sumlin, Buddy Guy,
and the late great guitarist Bobby Parker who was a major influence
on her.
